LOCERYL SOLUTION contains Amorolfine which belongs to the group of medicines called antifungals. It is indicated in the treatment of fungal infections of the nails. Amorolfine effectively kills the infection-causing organisms by inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol. It alters cell membrane permeability, disrupts cellular metabolic processes and causes cell death.

Before application, file the infected areas of nail. Do not use nail files used for infected nails on healthy nails. It may lead to spread of infection. Make sure that no one else uses the files from your kit to the avoid spread of infection. It is important to continue to use LOCERYL SOLUTION until your infection clears, and healthy nails grows back. You can apply any cosmetic nail varnish while applying this medicine but, wait for at least 10 minutes before applying. Do not use any artificial nails, while applying this medicine. The nail paint should be carefully removed before repeat application of this medicine.

Always avoid contact of this medicine with your nose, eyes, ears and mouth. If contact happens, wash it with water and contact your doctor immediately. Do not inhale this medicine. Do not apply the lacquer on the skin around the nail. Stop using this medicine and seek immediate medical attention if you experience any signs of allergic reactions such as skin rash, swelling face, lips, tongue or throat or difficulty in breathing. Immediately remove the lacquer with a nail varnish remover and do not re-apply. Before applying this medicine, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breast feeding. This medicine is not recommended for use in children. Consult your doctor before using.
